Trinidad and Tobago’s Olympic Under 23 footballers put on a strong second half showing to defeat Guyana’s senior national team 3-1 in a warm-up affair at the Dwight Yorke Stadium on Thursday evening.

Goals by striker Jamal Gay (49th minute), Trevin Caesar (61st) and substitute Bradley Welch (77th) left T&T on winners end after they fell behind to a Walter Moore penalty in the 22nd minute.

DENSILL SIZZLES IN INDIAN LEAGUE

Midfielder Densill Theobald delivered a man of the match performance last Sunday to help his Dempo SC to a six-point lead at the top of the Indian Premier Professional football league as they got past Pailan Arrows.

Theobald was instrumental in Dempo’s 2-0 win at the Salt Lake Stadium with Nigerian striker Ranti Martins netting both goals.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation has been made aware of articles which originated in the Sunday Times and subsequently published on local websites and the national press, on the passage of funds destined for Haiti's Football Federation, through our account.

The TTFF acknowledges it is aware of funds made available by both FIFA and the Korean football federation for the football victims of Haiti's devastating earthquake in 2010.

Trinidad and Tobago’s National Olympic footballers will face Guyana’s senior men’s team in a warm-up match at the Dwight Yorke Stadium from 6pm on Thursday.

The Angus Eve-coached team has been in Tobago since Sunday, engaged in a training camp for the week and will be looking to follow up with another positive showing following their 1-0 victory over Finland last month at the same venue.
