BLINK/BMOBILE SUPER LEAGUE KICKS OFF THIS SUNDAY

The three newly promoted clubs will make their debut in the Blink/ Bmobile National Super league when the 2012 edition kicks off on Sunday.

Biche Utd will host National FA semi finalists WASA FC at the Biche recreation ground. Glimpses of the enthusiasm of the village of Biche were seen last week, when the club hosted the National Under 20 in a losing cause. The National Under is getting ready for their first round world cup play offs in July.

JOE PUBLIC'S BOURNE IS SUPER LEAGUE 'MVP'

Joe Public goalkeeper Jevon Bourne was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the 2011 BMobile National Super League for his efforts between the sticks which saw the former T&T Pro team walk away with the lion’s share of the prizes at Tuesday’s awards ceremony at Jaffa Restaurant, Queen’s Park Oval.

Bourne and teammate Brent Antoine were named among the League’s five outstanding players of the season with Fabian Garcia (WASA FC), Tyrone Manning (Stokely Vale FC) and Darren Mitchell (1976 FC Phoenix) completing the list .
