CALLING U-15 WOMEN FOOTBALLERS FOR SCREENING Print E-mail
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation continues its screening sessions for the National Women’s Under 15 team with sessions this weekend.

Interested players born between 1993 and 1995 are being asked to attend a session at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Administration Building field on Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8 starting at 8am.

All participants should bring a copy of their birth certificate to the session(s).

This is all aimed towards preparations of the National Women’s Team for the 2010 FIFA Under 17 Women’s Championship.

Before that however, there will be upcoming action  with the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship scheduled to take  place in Trinidad & Tobago from 17-26 July at Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet and Macoya’s Marvin Lee Stadium. The inaugural eight-team tournament will have two groups of four during the first round from 17-21 July. The semifinals and finals will take place at the Marvin Lee Stadium on 24 and 26 July, respectively.

The hosts, Trinidad & Tobago have been drawn into Group A, to be played at Marvin Lee Stadium, along with Costa Rica, El Salvador and USA, while Canada, Jamaica, Mexico and Puerto Rico are in Group B at Dwight Yorke Stadium. The CONCACAF Tournament will qualify three teams to the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup New Zealand 2008. (June 4, 2008)
