Never had the sounds of a whistle rang out so sweetly.
The sound that heralded the end to a crucial game also started a journey
towards the realization of a nations dream, towards history in the making.
At the sound of the Final whistle on the 16th of November, 2005,
pandemonium erupted!Trinidad and Tobago became the smallest country
to ever qualify for a FIFA World Cup.
Fours years later, we again hold our breath
for what many believe to be the sequel to 2006.
We have made history but now it’s time to create a tradition – one of excellence and continued success.

Our partnership with the TTFF for the Warrior Within Programme 2010 Campaign
stems from our desire to give back and say thank you to the nation for your generous support over the years.
When first approached with this proposal we knew that it was our duty to inspire support and enthusiasm for our Soca Warriors.
In the lead up to the World Cup 2006 Games, we marveled at the outpouring of pride
and patriotism that consumed the nation - national colours adorning faces,
bodies and cars, standing-room-only packed stadiums, bars and living rooms.
T&T’s show of support for our National Footballers was astounding. Our nation basked in the glory of our achievement and this is what has whet our appetite for more.
First Citizens support for this campaign, is a demonstration of our commitment to initiatives that seek to bring the national community together.
The South Africa 2010 campaign is a unique opportunity for each of us to embrace one of the few nation-building events, especially in these uncertain times. For the next few months, the country will be bound by the passion we all share for football.
We all know the importance of the twelfth man on the field, urging the team on through our hopes,
dreams, passion, pride, strength and sheer determination to emerge victorious.
Today, First Citizens pledges its commitment to be that 12th man with the collective voices of 1.3 million others warriors standing ready to support in every way possible.

The warrior within each of us calls. Heed the call and together we can bring pride and glory
