MATURANA MIXES HIS PICKS FOR NEXT WARM-UP INTERNATIONAL

 Trinidad and Tobago Senior Team head coach Francisco Maturana has selected his squad of home-based players to prepare for an upcoming friendly international at home to El Salvador scheduled for March 19.


Maturana, after viewing the majority home-based players over three matches and several training sessions, has kept some faces in the mix and has invited three players who represented this country at the FIFA Under 17 World Championship last year – defenders Daneil Cyrus and Akeem Adams and midfielder Leston Paul.

T&T GIRLS HIT ST KITTS FOR SIX

 Trinidad and Tobago scored five second half goals to comfortably finish 6-0 winners over St Kitts/Nevis in the Women's  CFU World Under 17 qualifying match at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya on Thursday night.


With the first game finishing 2-2 between Grenada and Suriname, it was left to the hosts to give their strong bunch of supporters, some 700 of them, the chance to experience a win and it also

TTFF TECHNICAL STAFF AND PRO LEAGUE HOLD 'POSITIVE' MEETING

 The Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation’s Technical Staff attached to the National Senior Team met with officials of the T&T Pro League on Wednesday to discuss its program for the 2008 calendar as it relates to this country’s 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.


And from all signs, both parties left the meeting table pleased with the discussions on the initiatives and measures to be put in place from here on.

CLAYTON HAS ALL GUARDS UP

 Goalkeeper Clayton Ince transferred his club form onto the international stage for country in last Wednesday's friendly international against Guadeloupe, pulling of a few point blank saves to ensure a 0-0 draw for the hosts at the Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain.



Experiencing what has been among his better seasons in English football, Ince says he's not allowing the attention get the better of him and is prepared to even work harder to help Walsall earn promotion.
