Trinidad & Tobago ‘s Under 20 Women’s Team made a winning start to the CONCACAF Women’s Championship defeating Honduras 2-0 on Friday night at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.
It was the first win for the T&T team at the final round in six appearances and a much deserved one as captain Anique Walker and Brianna Ryce each netted a goal to give the Soca Princesses the first three points on offer in Group B.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Under 20 Women’s team will be looking to make a winning start against Honduras when both countries meet in their opening fixture of the CONCACAF Final round of qualification at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in the Cayman Islands from 6pm on Friday.
T&T are coming off a training camp in Fort Lauderdale under head coach Izler Browne and are optimistic about a good start against Honduras which is making their debut at the CONCACAF Final stage. T&T meantime have been to the final round on five occasions but have never advanced past the group phase.
Trinidad and Tobago Football Association General Secretary Sheldon Phillips believes the June 4th Friendly International against World Cup favourites Argentina is a tremendous opportunity for this country.
